Okay, so I wanted to finally get a definitive list of the Italy squad for the 2014 World Cup. You know, for posterity’s sake. It’s surprisingly hard to just find a straight-up, clean list sometimes, so I figured I’d make one myself and, you know, document the whole shebang.

First, I fired up my trusty web browser. I usually just go straight to the default search engine, seemed like the easiest route.

Then, I typed in “italy world cup 2014 roster”. Pretty straightforward, right? I hit enter and waited for the magic to happen.

Sifting Through the Results

The search results page popped up, and, well, it was a bit of a mixed bag. Lots of articles, some news stories, a few videos… I just wanted a simple list! I scrolled through a bit, clicking on a couple of the more promising-looking links.

Some of them were okay, but they were often buried within long articles. I had to skim through paragraphs of text to find what I was looking for. Others had bits and pieces, but not the complete roster in one place. Honestly, it was a little frustrating.

Putting It All Together

So, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I opened up a new text document – nothing fancy, just a plain old text file. Then, I went back to the search results and started pulling names from the various sources I had found.

I copied and pasted the names into my text document, making sure to double-check them across different sources to avoid any mistakes. It was a bit tedious, but I wanted to get it right.

I organized and double-checked.

  • Goalkeepers
  • Defenders
  • Midfielders
  • Forwards

Finally, I had my complete, nicely formatted list! It took a bit longer than I expected, but hey, now I have it, and it’s all in one place. Mission accomplished!
