So, I had this thing I needed to ship, and the package weight was in kilograms, 0.68 kg to be exact. But the shipping company’s website only took pounds. Ugh, annoying, right?

I was like, “Okay, time to do some quick math.”
The Process:
First, I grabbed my phone and opened up the calculator app. I remembered that there’s some kind of conversion thing between kilos and pounds, but I couldn’t recall the exact number.
Then,I quickly googled “kg to lbs conversion”.
Immediately found that one kilogram is roughly 2.2 pounds. I saw a lot of fancy converters online, but I just needed the basic number.
I went back to my calculator and simply multiplied 0.68 by 2.2. I chose to utilize 2.2 to make the calculation simple.

- Input 0.68 (the weight in kilograms).
- Multiply by 2.2 (the conversion factor).
- The result showed up: about 1.496.
Boom! There it was. 0.68 kilograms is about 1.496 pounds. Entered that into the shipping form, and I was good to go.
It really wasn’t that hard, just a simple multiplication.
