Hey everyone, so I finally got my hands on that 900 CBR Honda I’ve been eyeing. Thing’s a beast, but I knew I had to make it my own, right?

First things first, I took it for a test ride. Felt pretty good, but I could tell it needed some love. I mean, it’s a 1993 model, so you gotta expect some wear and tear.

I decided to start with the basics. Gave it a good oil change – gotta keep that engine happy. Checked out the safety stuff too, just to be sure everything was in order.

Next up, those rims. They were looking a little rough, so I had them powder coated. Makes a huge difference, let me tell you. Looks way cleaner now.

And you can’t have a sweet ride without some fresh rubber. I slapped on a brand new set of tires. Safety first, but also, it just handles way better now.

  • Powder coated the rims.
  • Put on brand new tires.
  • Did an oil change and safety inspection.

Of course, I couldn’t resist adding a little something extra. I found a Yoshimura exhaust and put that bad boy on. Sounds amazing, and I swear it feels a little quicker now, too. The original is too quiet for this bike.

All in all, I’m pretty stoked with how it turned out. This thing is not only looking better than ever, but I have peace of mind knowing it is running in tip-top shape. She’s ready to hit the road, and I can’t wait to put some serious miles on her. It’s a six-speed manual transmission, about 379 lbs. It feels like I am flying when I am riding it.

Final Thoughts

It took a bit of work, but it was totally worth it. Turning this classic 900 CBR Honda into my dream bike has been an awesome experience. There is one thing I can be sure of, this is the coolest bike around. It cost me about $9,700, and with the fixing up and all, I think I paid around $15,000. I saw some other ones selling for around $31,500, so I think I got a pretty good deal.
