Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this “Vice Pro” golf ball lately, and I figured I’d share my experience, just in case anyone else is thinking about trying them out.
It all started because I kept losing balls. Seriously, I’m pretty sure the woods near my local course have a higher golf ball population than actual golf balls in my bag. I needed something that wouldn’t break the bank every time I sliced one into oblivion.
The Hunt Begins
So, I started doing some digging, reading reviews, watching videos, the whole nine yards. I kept seeing the name “Vice Pro” pop up. People were saying good things – decent distance, good feel around the greens, and, most importantly, a price that wouldn’t make me cry.
Taking the Plunge
I finally decided to give them a shot. I ordered a dozen online – went with the plain white ones, nothing fancy. When they arrived, I was pretty impressed. They looked good, felt good in my hand, kind of like a… well, like a good golf ball, I guess!
The First Round
- Off the Tee: I’m no Bryson DeChambeau, but I felt like I got some pretty good distance with these. Noticeably better than my usual cheapo balls. They seemed to fly a little straighter, too, which is always a bonus.
- Iron Play: This is where I really started to like them. They felt nice and soft off the clubface, and I could actually get some spin, which is something I usually struggle with. I even managed to stick a couple of approach shots close to the pin.
- Around the Greens: Chipping and putting were solid. The ball felt responsive, and I could control the roll pretty well. No complaints there.
Durability Test
Now, I’m not gonna lie, I still managed to lose a few of these. Old habits die hard, you know? But the ones I didn’t lose held up surprisingly well. I played a couple of rounds with the same ball, and it barely had a scratch on it. That’s a big win in my book.
The Verdict
Overall, I’m really happy with the Vice Pro. They’re a good all-around ball that performs well without costing a fortune. Are they going to magically transform me into a scratch golfer? Probably not. But they’ve definitely made my rounds a little more enjoyable, and my wallet a little less empty. I’ll keep playing and see how it continue!
