Alright, folks, let’s dive into something I messed around with today – figuring out the England national squad from 2014. I’ve always been a bit of a football nerd, and sometimes these random questions just pop into my head, you know?

The Hunt Begins
First, I grabbed my phone and opened up the browser. Naturally, I started with a simple search. Nothing fancy, just typed in “england national squad 2014”.
My initial thought, you see, that I just wanted a quick list. Boom, done. But, of course, it’s never that simple, is it?
Digging Deeper
The first few results were okay, I guess. Gave me some of the bigger names, the ones everyone remembers. But I wanted the full squad. The whole shebang. So, I started clicking through a few different websites.
I found some articles, some forum posts, even some old news reports. Lots of bits and pieces scattered all over the place. It was like trying to put together a jigsaw puzzle with half the pieces missing.
Compiling the Info
So, I decided to get a little more organized. I opened up a simple text document on my laptop. Nothing fancy, just a place to dump all the names I was finding.

I went back to the search results and started copying and pasting. I had to be careful, though. Some sites listed different players, or had different numbers of players mentioned. I basically had to cross-reference everything to make sure I wasn’t getting bad info.
The (Almost) Finished Product
After a good while, I think that I will got most of the names that will to be on the list. Felt pretty good about that.
It’s not perfect, I’m sure. There might be a name or two I missed, or maybe someone who was called up but didn’t actually play. But hey, I gave it a shot, and I learned a thing or two along the way. That’s what matters, right?
