Okay, so I’ve been wanting to really get into following baseball, and specifically wanted to compare the Milwaukee Brewers and the Pittsburgh Pirates. I figured the best way to do that was to dive deep into their recent matchups. Here’s how I went about it and what I found.
Getting Started: Finding the Data
First things first, I needed to find a good source of information. You know, somewhere I could see the results of their games, scores, dates, all that good stuff. I started by just hitting up a search engine. Typed in something like “Milwaukee Brewers vs Pittsburgh Pirates game results.”
The search results gave me a few options, a lot of sports news sites, of course.I decided to get one that looked reliable and seemed to have the info laid out in a way I could easily understand.
Digging into the Matches
Once I had a good source, I started looking at the recent games. Man, there were a lot! I decided to focus on just the games from the current season, to keep things manageable. I went game by game, noting down a few key things:
- Date of the game: Just to get a sense of when these games were played.
- Final Score: Obviously, who won and by how much.
- Location: Was it a home game for the Brewers or the Pirates?
I created a simple table in my notebook, nothing fancy, just to keep track of everything. As I filled it in, I started to see some patterns. Some games were super close, others were total * seems normal.
Making Sense of It All
After I looked at all the recent games, I took a step back to see what it all meant.
It was cool to see the back-and-forth, and to get a feel for how these two teams match * feels like a good way to compare them.
It was a lot more fun than just reading a summary article.I think I will keep using this way to compare different matches.
