So, I heard about this US Orléans vs. PSG match happening. Thought it might be a bit of a laugh, you know, big team versus a smaller club in the cup. Sometimes those games throw up surprises, or at least it’s different from the usual league stuff.

Trying to Catch the Game
My first thought was, maybe I could actually go? I live kinda sorta within travelling distance, not super close, but maybe doable for a big game. Went online to check for tickets. Ha! Should’ve known better. Completely sold out, or the only ones left were being resold for stupid money. No way I was paying that. It’s PSG, yeah, but it’s still Orléans, wasn’t expecting a Champions League final price tag.
Okay, fine. Plan B then. Watch it on TV. Figured it’d be on one of the main sports channels. Got home from work, sorted dinner, got ready to settle down for the match. Fired up the TV guide.
Well, That Didn’t Go as Planned
Turns out, it wasn’t on the channels I actually have. It was on some specific broadcaster, probably needed a separate subscription or package. Seriously? For a cup game? Started looking around online for, uh, alternative ways to watch it. You know the drill. Dodgy streams, pop-ups everywhere.
It was a real pain.
Spent a good chunk of the first half just trying to find a stream that actually worked and didn’t buffer every two seconds or try to install something weird on my computer. Found one eventually, picture quality was rubbish, commentary was in a language I didn’t understand, but hey, it was the game. Sort of.

- Checked official channels: Nope, wrong package.
- Scoured the web: Found a low-quality stream.
- Watched bits and pieces: PSG scored a few, looked pretty routine.
Honestly, the hassle took most of the fun out of it. By the time I got it working properly, I wasn’t really that invested anymore. PSG were already winning comfortably. Just felt like a lot of effort for not much reward. Ended up switching off before the end and just reading the news headlines the next morning. Sometimes it feels like they make it deliberately hard to just watch a simple game of football unless you pay up everywhere. Kinda takes the joy out of following it sometimes.
