My Fenway Zip Code Hunt
Started this morning needing the exact postal code for Fenway in Boston because my cousin’s moving there. Couldn’t just text him like a normal person – wanted to surprise him with a care package. So I went straight to my laptop thinking this would take five minutes tops.

First tried Googling “Fenway Boston zip code” like everybody does. Big mistake. Got a mess of results: some sites said 02215, others showed 02210, and Wikipedia mentioned a totally different one. Even saw 02115 pop up somewhere – that’s downtown! No way I’m trusting any of these.
Pulled up Bing Maps next – typed in “Fenway Park”. Zoomed into the exact location, clicked around the stadium area. Boom! Saw a street number pop up. Grabbed my notepad and wrote down addresses I spotted on Jersey Street and Brookline Avenue. Noticed something weird though – different buildings on the SAME block had different zips! What kind of nonsense is that?
Here’s how I cracked it:
- Opened the official USPS zip code lookup tool
- Typed the exact street addresses I’d collected earlier
- Triple-checked each result against multiple addresses
- Noticed most addresses fell into two main buckets
Turned out Fenway’s split between 02115 (mostly residential buildings near park) and 02215 (commercial spots around Lansdowne). Almost sent everything to 02215 until I found out my cousin’s apartment building uses 02115. Saved that package from going to some sports bar!
Reminds me of when I did shipping for that tiny bookstore job years ago. Boss made us memorize NYC zips. One time I sent Chelsea shipments to the Bronx zip by mistake. Big angry customer calls – dude had ordered art books but got someone’s motorcycle parts! Got chewed out so bad I quit next week. Still triple-check every zip since then.

You’d think finding five numbers would be simple. Nope. Learned the hard way: never trust what people call “the Fenway zip” – gotta get street-level specific or your mail’s going on an adventure.
