My Experience with Todd Fletcher’s Trainer Program
So, I decided to try out Todd Fletcher’s Trainer Program. Heard some buzz online, folks talking about workouts and nutrition. Figured, why not? My usual routine was getting stale anyway.

First things first, signing up. Went to the website, looked simple enough. Filled in my email, paid the fee – remember thinking “Okay, hope this isn’t just some PDFs they call a program.” Clicked confirm, got an email pretty much straight away. Subject line: “Welcome! Your Fitness Blueprint Awaits.” Felt a bit corny, but okay.
What popped out right away? Logged into the member area. Stuff was laid out decently:
- The Workout Plans: Didn’t just chuck some generic split at me. Like, “Okay, you’re weak here? Focus on this.” Had videos too, Todd showing the moves proper. Wasn’t just text saying “do deadlifts,” actually showed how he does ’em. Helpful.
- The Food Part: Honestly, this surprised me. Wasn’t expecting much, figured it’d be “eat chicken and broccoli.” Nah. Had options. Meal plans for different goals – cut, bulk, maintain. Even grocery lists. Some were kinda rabbit-food level though, gotta warn ya. Tweaked those to my liking.
- Progress Tracking: Simple sheets. Like, really simple. Where you log weights, reps, how you felt, maybe some body measurements if you’re into that. Not fancy apps, just stuff that works. Paper and pencil vibes, and honestly? Prefer it that way sometimes.
- Email Support: This bit was a question mark. Said you could ask stuff via email. Tried it out early on – asked about swapping an exercise cause my shoulder felt iffy. Took maybe a day or so? Response was straight: “Try this instead, see how it feels.” Solid enough.
Putting it into action – how it actually went.
Monday morning, rolled out of bed. Looked at the plan. Started Day 1. Exercises weren’t crazy exotic, but the order and little tweaks Todd had? Felt different. Muscles working in ways they hadn’t before, even familiar moves. The rep schemes were sneaky tough. Finished that first workout thinking “Damn, my arms are noodles.” But felt good. Used his tracking sheet, scribbled down weights used. Messy handwriting, don’t care.
Food-wise? First week sucked a bit. Felt hungry sometimes adjusting portions. Used his meal structure ideas but swapped out some things I just couldn’t face eating daily (bye-bye, plain steamed fish twice a day). Found a rhythm after a bit.

The real test – sticking with it.
Kept chipping away. Some workouts were great, felt strong. Others were grinders, especially as the weights got heavier according to his “add a little weight/do one more rep” thing every week or two. Important thing? Wasn’t boring. Kept you engaged trying to beat last week’s numbers, even just a little. Those tracking sheets started filling up. Seeing the numbers slowly climb? Yeah, that felt real. Started actually seeing some definition in the mirror too. Nice bonus.
The bottom line – was it worth it?
Honestly? Yeah. For me, it clicked. Got way fitter than my old random gym routine. Learned some tricks about pushing intensity smartly. Didn’t need shiny apps, just clear steps and consistency. Could I have pieced something similar together free online? Maybe? Eventually? But grabbing this, it saved me months of trial and error and dead ends. Solid blueprint, straightforward system, gets results if you do the damn work. Simple as that.
