Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with the starting lineup for the Brickyard 400. First off, I gotta say, I was pretty stoked to see that Tyler Reddick grabbed the pole position. I mean, the guy was flying out there during qualifying, clocking in at 49.469 seconds. That’s a cool 181.932 MPH!

So, I started digging around to find out more about this. Turns out, this race is a pretty big deal – it’s the 30th-anniversary edition, and it’s a returning crown jewel event for NASCAR. That got me even more hyped!
What I Did
- Checked the Date: First, I confirmed the dates. Qualifying was on July 20, 2024, and the race is set for July 21, 2024.
- Looked at Practice Results: I found out that Reddick was also the fastest in Friday’s practice session. The dude’s on fire!
- Noted Other Drivers: I saw that Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was 9th in qualifying, and Martin Truex Jr. was 14th. Also, Stenhouse Jr. showed up 4th in the race results, which was pretty neat.
I spent a good chunk of my afternoon looking into all this. It was cool to see how the qualifying results stacked up against practice and then the actual race. From what I gathered, Denny Hamlin is the favorite to win, followed by Kyle Larson and Brad Keselowski. But, you know how it is with racing – anything can happen!
Anyway, I just wanted to share my little dive into the Brickyard 400 starting lineup. It’s always fun to see who’s leading the pack and get a feel for how the race might play out. I’m definitely going to be tuning in to see how Reddick does from the pole position. It’s going to be broadcast on NBC, so I’ll be glued to the screen around 2:30 PM.
