Okay, so, I’ve been following the Milwaukee Brewers for a while now, and I’m super stoked about their playoff run this year. I gotta share my experience with y’all, it’s been a wild ride!
First off, I started by checking the schedule. I saw that the Brewers were kicking off the postseason on a Tuesday. I was like, “Alright, Tuesday it is!” They were up against the New York Mets, who had just split a doubleheader with the Braves. That meant the Mets were coming to Milwaukee as the No. 6 seed in the National League. I remember thinking, “This is gonna be interesting.”
Then, I dug a little deeper into how the playoffs work. I found out that they used to have these one-game playoffs up until 2021. Basically, if two or more teams were tied for a division title or the wild card spot, they’d have this single game to decide the winner. But this year, it’s different. I learned that it’s a best-of-three series, and all the games were gonna be played right here in Milwaukee. That got me even more hyped!
I also realized that the Brewers have been in the playoffs pretty regularly – six times in the last seven years! But here’s the kicker: they haven’t won a postseason series since 2018. So, I was hoping this would be their year to break that streak.

- Learned about Playoff Format: No more one-game playoffs, it’s a best-of-three series now.
- Noticed the Brewers’ History: Regular playoff appearances but no series win since 2018.
I kept reading and found out that twelve teams make it to the MLB playoffs – six from the American League and six from the National League. Apparently, that’s more than before. More teams, more games, more excitement, right?
I marked my calendar for October 1st, 2024. That’s when the National League Wild Card round was set to begin at American Family Field. I made sure I had nothing else planned. I cleared my schedule, got my Brewers gear ready, and waited for the day to arrive. I was all in to support my team.
Finally, Tuesday rolled around. I was so pumped! I got to the field early, soaked in the atmosphere, and watched the Brewers battle it out. The energy was electric, and even though I didn’t know how it was all going to end, I was thrilled to be part of it.

- Enjoy the game: cheer loud and proud!
