Okay, so I’ve been trying to get better at predicting NFL games. It’s tough! This week, I decided to focus on the Giants vs. Bengals game. Here’s how I went about it, and, well, you’ll see how it turned out.

My “Process” (If You Can Call It That)
First, I looked at the team records. You know, just the basic stuff. How many wins, how many losses. Both teams have been kinda… meh… this season, to be honest. Not a lot to go on there.
Then, I checked out some injury reports. Gotta see who’s playing and who’s sitting on the bench with a bag of ice. Injuries can really change things, right?
Next, I tried to remember how these teams have played against each other in the past. My memory’s not the greatest, so I had to look it up. Turns out, their history isn’t super helpful either. It’s been pretty back and forth.
I also scrolled through some sports news websites. You know, just to see what the “experts” were saying. Of course, they all had different opinions. Some were picking the Giants, some were picking the Bengals. Super helpful, guys!
Making My Prediction (A Guess, Really)
After all that “research,” I still wasn’t feeling super confident. It felt like a total coin flip. But, I had to pick someone, right?

I ended up going with the Bengals. Why? Honestly, it was mostly a gut feeling. They seemed like they had a slightly better offense, and maybe their defense would show up. Maybe. It was a total shot in the dark.
The Result (Spoiler: I Was Wrong)
So, the game happened, and… I was wrong. The Giants won. Not by a lot, but they still won. My prediction was a total bust.
I check the scoreboard and curse, I should have spent more time on research! Or Maybe, I should have gone to expert.
- Lesson learned: Predicting NFL games is hard.
- Lesson learned: My “gut feeling” is not a reliable source of information.
- Lesson learned: Maybe I should stick to watching the games, not trying to predict them.
Anyway, that’s my story of trying (and failing) to predict the Giants-Bengals game. I hope to win at next time! Gotta keep practicing, I guess…or maybe just flip a coin next time. It might be more accurate!
