Okay, so I got really curious about Bryson DeChambeau’s driving distance. I mean, the guy is a beast! So I decided to see what all the fuss was about and, well, try to understand how he does it.

Digging into Bryson’s Stats
First, I spent some time just looking at his stats. It’s crazy! The distances he’s hitting are just… unreal. I compared them to some other pro golfers, and it’s clear he’s in a league of his own.
Watching the Videos
Next, I watched a ton of videos. Slow-motion swings, analyses, interviews with Bryson himself – you name it, I watched it. It was helpful to see his technique up close and to hear him talk about his approach.
Reading up on swing mechanics.
- I started by learning about his “single-length” irons.
- Then I read about how he focuses on speed and power.
- Then focused on body mechanics and how he generates so much force.
Trying it out(sort of)
I even went out to golf driving range, and tried to get this feeling. I practiced the full body swing, and tried to implement this in my own swing. It’s is incredibly hard! I can not swing as fast as DeChambeau, but it is fun to try!
My Conclusion
After all this, I’ve got a much better understanding of how Bryson DeChambeau hits the ball so far. It’s a combination of his unique physique, his dedication to training, and his willingness to break from tradition. It’s pretty inspiring, even if I’ll never be able to hit the ball like him!
