Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get into this “scherwood golf” thing for a while now. Heard some folks talking about it, and it sounded kinda interesting. So, I decided to give it a shot today. Let me tell you, it was… an experience.
Getting Started
First things first, I needed to figure out what this whole sherwood golf thing even was. I did a little digging online. Found out the whole point is making your own golf game from scratch.
I started thinking, I figured it wouldn’t be too bad. Boy, was I wrong.
The “Fun” Begins
So, I start from the begin. I spent a solid hour just trying to figure out all the basic stuff.
I decided to use “construct 3” cause it seemd easy, and I followed a tutorial.
- Make the ball:I made a circle using a sprite.
- Make the hole:Make another circle to be the goal.
- Make the movement:I had to watch a ton of tutorials, just to get the ball moving.
- Make the walls:I made the walls,so it can bounce.
After I finished following that,it actually kinda worked! I mean, the ball moved, I felt like I’d conquered the world.
The Aftermath
So, yeah, that was my day with “scherwood golf”. It was frustrating, a little bit rewarding. Will I keep at it? Maybe. It’s definitely a challenge, and I do like a good challenge. But man, it’s a lot more work than I thought it would be!
