Okay, so today was all about getting a good sweat on. I’ve been feeling kinda sluggish lately, so I decided to kick things up a notch. I’m calling it my “Patrick Sweating” experiment – not sure why, just sounds right.
The Warm-Up
Started off with some light cardio. You know, just to get the blood flowing.
- Jumping jacks: Did about 50 of these. Always a good way to start.
- High knees: 30 seconds of these bad boys. Really gets the heart pumping.
- Butt kicks: Another 30 seconds. My hamstrings were already feeling it.
The Main Event
This is where things got real. I wanted to push myself, so I went for a circuit workout. No fancy equipment, just using my own body weight.
- Push-ups: Managed to crank out 15. Not my best, but hey, it’s a start.
- Squats: 20 reps. Legs were burning, but in a good way.
- Lunges: 10 reps per leg. Gotta work those glutes!
- Plank: Held it for a full minute. My core was on fire!
- Burpees: Oh god is very hard! I did 5.
I repeated this circuit three times. By the third round, I was definitely feeling the “Patrick Sweating” effect. Sweat was dripping, muscles were aching – it was glorious!
The Cool-Down
Gotta bring the heart rate down slowly. I finished up with some stretching.
- Hamstring stretch: Held for 30 seconds each leg.
- Quad stretch: Same deal, 30 seconds per leg.
- Arm stretches: Just some basic arm circles and crosses.
Felt amazing afterwards! Tired, but in that good, “I just accomplished something” kind of way. Gonna try to keep this “Patrick Sweating” thing going. Maybe I’ll even add some weights next time. We’ll see how ambitious I’m feeling!
