Okay, so I saw this thing online about “gay PGA golfers” and I was like, huh, I wonder who’s out there. So I started digging.
First, I just went to my go-to, good ol’ Google. I typed in “gay pga golfers,” and, you know, a bunch of stuff popped up. Some news articles, some blog posts, the usual.
The Initial Dig
It wasn’t super straightforward, to be honest. A lot of the articles were older, or they were just talking about rumors and speculation. I wanted solid info, like, who’s actually said, “Yep, I’m gay.”
I started clicking through some of the articles, and I started seeing a few names pop up more than others. One that I found mentioned several times.
Finding the Gold (Or at Least, Silver)
- I scrolled through the article.
- I skimmed the names of professional golfers.
- I learned the golfers’ stories about their careers.
I spent a good chunk of time, maybe an hour or two, just reading through different articles and trying to piece things together. It wasn’t like there was one big list somewhere that said, “Here are all the openly gay PGA golfers!” It was more like detective work, finding bits and pieces here and there.
Putting It All Together
After a while, I felt like I had a decent handle on things. I wouldn’t say I became an expert, but I definitely learned more than I knew before. It’s interesting to see how things are changing, even in a sport like golf that seems pretty traditional.

That’s my little adventure for the day. Nothing too crazy, but it was a fun little research project!
