Okay, so I was messing around with some football stuff, and the name “Ryan Wilson Giggs” kept popping up. I figured, why not dive in and see what I could do with it? I’m not gonna lie, I mainly wanted to see if I could pull out some cool stats or maybe build a simple player profile. Nothing too fancy, just a fun little project.

Getting Started
First things first, I needed data. I mean, you can’t do anything without data, right? So I hit up the usual spots – you know, the popular sports websites. Just a general search, nothing too specific. I was basically casting a wide net to see what I could catch.
The Process
It was a bit messy at first. Lots of articles, forum posts, and random bits of info. I spent a good chunk of time just sifting through everything. I started copying and pasting interesting stats into a simple text file. Like, year-by-year goals, assists, appearances… that sort of thing. Just the raw numbers, nothing pretty.
Then, I figured I needed to organize it somehow. A text file wasn’t gonna cut it. So I dumped everything into a spreadsheet. Way easier to manage. I created columns for different stats, added some basic formulas to calculate totals and averages… you get the idea. It was pretty basic, but it worked!
Putting It All Together
Now that I had my data somewhat organized, I had choice to choose what to present with it, here’s where it got kinda fun.
- I played around with making some simple charts. Nothing groundbreaking, just basic bar graphs and line graphs to visualize the data. Seeing the numbers visually made it much easier to understand.
- I focused on goals and assists.
Honestly, the whole thing was pretty simple. It was more about the process of gathering the information, cleaning it up, and then presenting it in a way that made sense. I didn’t build anything super complex, but it was a good way to practice some basic data handling skills.

I am satisfied what I’ve complished for today.
