Okay, so I’ve been wanting to beef up my Harley for a while now. You know, give it that real “don’t mess with me” vibe. And what better way to do that than with a seriously fat back tire? Let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey, but totally worth it.

The Idea
It all started with seeing some badass bikes online. I’m talkin’ wheels so wide they looked like they could roll over anything. I was hooked. My stock tire was just… boring. I needed something with more presence.
Getting My Hands Dirty
First things first, I needed to figure out what size tire I could even fit. I spent, a lot of time reading forums and watching videos. Turns out, it’s not as simple as just slapping on a bigger tire.

Measuring:
I spent a good chunk of time with measuring tape around the swingarm. I measured everything twice, maybe three times. Better safe than sorry, right?
- Shopping around. I checked out local shops and tons of websites. It’s overwhelming how many options there are!
- Pull the trigger. Finally, I took a depth breath and ordered the thing.
The Install
The install was a beast. I’m pretty handy, but this was a bigger project than I initially thought. I did my best, step by step.

- I jacked up the bike, making sure it was super stable. Safety first, always!
- Then I removed the old wheel, and loosened everything around.
- Finally, I mounted the new, wider tire.
The Result
Man, let me tell you, seeing that massive tire on my Harley for the first time was awesome. It completely changed the look of the bike. It’s way more aggressive, and it just feels… tougher. I get stares and thumbs-up all the time now. It was a challenge, yeah, but totally worth the effort. My Harley looks like a total beast!
