Okay, so today I messed around with something called “Russ Elevado”. To be honest, I didn’t even know what it was at first. I just saw the name pop up and thought, “Why not?” Turns out, it’s some kind of audio mixing thing, so I dove in.
Getting Started
First things first, I had to figure out what I even needed. I did some digging and found a bunch of stuff talking about some plugins and how to arrange a session. I figured, i need some audio files that could be used for mixing.
The Messy Middle
Now, this is where things got a little tricky.I downloaded all kind of audio files for testing, and then placed all audio files on difference tracks.
Then I just tried things out. I tweaked knobs, pushed faders – the whole nine yards. Some of it sounded okay, some of it sounded like a cat fight in a trash can. It was a lot of trial and error. I kept switching between different settings, trying to find something that didn’t make my ears bleed.
I spent hours, honestly, just messing with it.
- Opened audio files.
- Adjusted some basic levels, you know, making sure nothing was blasting my speakers.
- Played around with some compression to test.
Figuring It Out (Sort Of)
After all that messing around, I think I started to get a tiny bit of a feel for it. It’s all about finding the right sounds. It’s like, finding the sweet spot where everything sounds clear, but still has some punch. I’m definitely no expert, but I can see why people get into this.
So, yeah, that was my day with “Russ Elevado”. It was frustrating, confusing, and kinda fun all at the same time. Would I do it again? Probably. Do I know what I’m doing? Absolutely not. But hey, that’s half the fun, right?
