First job, figure out where the heck it’s even on TV. Grabbed the remote, started flicking through the usual sports channels. Went up, went down. Nothing obvious. Checked the guide, scrolled through endless lists of stuff I didn’t care about. Still couldn’t spot it immediately. Took longer than I thought it would.

It’s just not the same, is it? Reading about it isn’t watching it. You don’t get the feel of the game, the flow, the actual skill. Just a bunch of text messages scrolling up a screen. Felt pretty disconnected from it all, really.
Final Thoughts
In the end, I knew the score, who won, who lost. But I didn’t really see the arsenal women vs chelsea women match I’d planned to watch. Made me think, though. There’s all this talk about supporting the women’s game, making it bigger. But if it’s a faff just to find out how to watch it, feels like they’re not making it easy for casual folks like me to get into it.
Bit of an anticlimax to my whole plan. Spent more time searching than watching. Maybe next time there’s a big game like this, I’ll just head down the pub early and hope they’ve got it on one of the screens. Seems less hassle.
