So, I wanted to get involved in some campus activities and make some new friends, you know, the usual college stuff. I started looking around for clubs and things to join at ASU.

One thing that caught my eye was this thing called “Sun Devil Survivor.” It sounded kinda cool, like that TV show. I went to check it out, figured it would be some fun and games.
Turns out, these guys were part of a bigger group, which was neat. I signed up for Sun Devil Survivor and started going to their meetings. I did some research online about surviving college life and stuff. I gotta say, getting your own place is a game-changer. No more dorm life!
First thing I did was make sure I was prepped every morning. I made a little list of things to bring to campus, like a refillable water bottle – gotta stay hydrated in that Arizona heat. Also, I kept some snacks on me, my student ID, and some cash for emergencies.
- Refillable water bottle
- Snacks
- Student ID
- Some cash
Then, I looked into becoming an Arizona resident. Apparently, that helps with tuition and other stuff. I found out that there are free or cheap ways to get around on campus, which is awesome because parking can be a nightmare. They have a campus shuttle and other options.
Getting Around Campus
I learned that getting around campus is pretty easy. ASU has a free shuttle, which is super convenient. I used that a lot. Plus, there are bike paths and other stuff. I didn’t have a car, so these options were great for me. I also made sure to ask about anonymity in OURR matters, but the person I talked to said it’s not granted often.

Overall, joining Sun Devil Survivor was a good move. I met some cool people, and it made adjusting to college life a bit easier. Plus, I picked up some useful tips along the way. If you’re heading to ASU, I’d say check it out. Just be prepared for the heat and make sure you have your water bottle!
