Okay, so I’ve been meaning to check out the Magnolia Golf Course at Disney for ages. It’s supposed to be one of the toughest courses there, and I wanted to see if I could handle it. I finally got around to doing it, so here is how everything happened.

Getting Started
First things first, I booked a tee time. You gotta do this way in advance, especially if you want a decent time. I used the Disney World website, it’s pretty easy to find. I booked it several weeks before and chose my time slot.
The Big Day
I woke up super early, like, before-the-sun-was-up early. Grabbed a quick breakfast – gotta fuel up, you know? – and headed out. Driving there was easy, plenty of signs pointing the way. I made it on time, thankfully.
Checking In
I got there and checked in at the pro shop. The people there were really nice and helpful. I got my scorecard, rented some clubs, and even bought some extra balls. It’s always a good idea to have too many balls than have a risk of running out of them.
Hitting the Range
Before I started, I went to the driving range to warm up. Just wanted to get a feel for the clubs and loosen up a bit. I hit a few balls, practiced my swing, and then figured I was ready to go.
The Course
Man, this course is no joke. It’s long, the fairways are narrow, and there are water hazards everywhere. Seriously, water on like, almost every hole.

- Hole 1: Started off okay, managed to avoid the water, but it was a long hole.
- Hole 6: This one’s famous, with the Mickey Mouse-shaped sand trap. I landed right in Mickey’s ear.
- Middle Holes: A blur of greens, sand, and water. I lost a few balls, not gonna lie.
- Back 9: I started to get the hang of it, a little bit. Still challenging, but I felt like I was improving.
Finishing Up
By the 18th hole, I was tired, but I finished strong. I added up my score, and it wasn’t my best, but it wasn’t my worst either. I felt good, I’d played a tough course and survived.
Post-Game
After I finished, I grabbed a drink at the snack bar and just relaxed for a bit, enjoying the view. I cleaned my clubs, returned the rentals, and headed home. I had a good experience, I went, tried, and finished. I’ll do it again for sure.
