My Stupid Simple Method For Checking Races This Week
Okay so here’s the thing. I needed Gulfstream Park results fast this week, like right after the races finished. Didn’t want to wait around, you know? Kept refreshing like crazy earlier this year and it drove me nuts.

First tried their actual website like a normal person. Bad idea. Site was super slow, felt like old dial-up internet or something. Clicked on “Results” and waited… and waited. Page loaded halfway, then just stopped. Hit refresh again, nothing. Got pissed off, closed the browser. Waste of time.
Thought, “Hey, they gotta have an app!” Duh. Downloaded that clunky thing onto my phone ages ago. Fired it up today. Logged in? Couldn’t even remember my password. Tried the “Forgot Password?” dance. They sent an email, took forever. Reset it, some stupid rules about uppercase symbols numbers blah blah. Finally got in. Headed to the results section. Guess what? Just spinning circles. Loading icon forever. App froze twice. Force stopped it. Pure frustration.
Then it hit me – like a hoof to the head. Completely forgot the easiest thing. Twitter! Why didn’t I think of that first? Pulled out my phone, tapped open the bird app. Searched “Gulfstream Park Official”. Found their actual verified account, handle’s easy to spot. Gave it a follow right then.
Seriously, setup took two seconds:
- Open Twitter
- Search for Gulfstream Park
- Follow the real account
- Hit notification bell for all tweets (yeah, kinda spammy but worth it)
Went back to work, figuring I’d test it later. Not long after, phone buzzed. Ping! Looked down – boom! Race result update. Winner, exacta, trifecta payout numbers, the whole thing. Plain text, super quick, popped right up. No loading screens, no login garbage. Same thing happened Wednesday afternoon after race 4. Another ping, results sitting in my notifications before I even thought to check elsewhere.

Ended the week just leaving those Twitter notifications on. Every single race result showed up within minutes, sometimes seconds. Way faster than battling their website or that awful app. Stood in line for coffee? Got a race result. Waiting for my dry cleaning? Ping! Results are already on my phone. Turns out the simplest answer was right in front of me the whole time. Should have done this years ago. Zero hassle now. Just follows and notifications. Done.
