Today I decided to dive into the new bo6 update patch notes everyone’s been yelling about. Wanted to see what bugs actually got smashed this time.

My Patch Notes Investigation Setup
First thing I did? Booted up my dusty PlayStation. Heard the update was live around noon, so grabbed a coffee and sat down ready to check things out myself instead of trusting forum rants.
Loaded the game menu slowly – man, this thing always takes forever. Saw the “Update Downloaded” notification blinking. Clicked it open and started scrolling through that massive wall of text they call patch notes. Why do they write these like legal documents? Needed another coffee already.
The Actual Fix Hunt
Grabbed my notepad – old school, I know, but it works. Decided to test the big three problems everyone complained about last season:
- That stupid “invisible wall” glitch near Market on Siege map. Ran straight there first. Smacked the exact spot where I got stuck last week… and boom! Went right through! Okay, one point for the devs.
- Hard crashes when joining Squads. Spammed the “Invite Friends” button like a maniac. Did it five times in a row. Usually froze by attempt three. This time? No crash! Color me surprised.
- Broken progression tracking for “Longshot” challenges. Picked a sniper, camped a mile away, dropped two enemies. Checked the challenge tracker immediately… AND IT COUNTED! Actual progress!
The Good and The… Unexpected
Honestly, felt weird seeing things they promised actually work. Snapshot your wins, devs! But… you know gamers. Fixed three things, broke two others. Found this annoying new thing:
- All my weapon attachments got randomly unequipped. Every. Single. Gun. Spent twenty minutes rebuilding loadouts. Absolute chaos in my arsenal!
- Voice chat now sounds like robots underwater for no reason? Teammate sounded like a broken toaster. We reset audio settings three times. Still garbage.
Patch notes said NOTHING about touching audio or loadouts. Classic. They fix the holes in the roof and break the plumbing. Ended my test session both impressed by the fixes and annoyed by the new garbage popping up. Typical update Tuesday. Back to grinding… after I fix my loadouts. Again.
