Okay, so, Braves Field in Boston, right? Heard about it, figured I’d try to recreate it a bit. Here’s how it went down.

First off, I started by gathering info. I mean, you can’t just build a stadium out of thin air, can ya? I spent a chunk of time Googling, looking at old photos, trying to get a feel for the place. Blueprints would have been amazing, but those are, like, impossible to find unless you’re an actual architect.

Next, I fired up my 3D software. I use Blender, mostly ’cause it’s free and I’m cheap, haha. Started with the basic shape of the field, the stands, the whole shebang. This was the most time-consuming part, just blocking everything out, making sure the proportions were somewhat right.

Then came the detailing. This is where it got kinda fun. Adding the little things – the fences, the dugouts, the scoreboard (or what I could piece together of it). I spent a while just staring at pictures, trying to figure out what went where. It’s surprising how much detail goes into a baseball stadium. Those old stadiums had character, ya know?

After that, I added some textures. Made the grass look kinda worn, the seats a bit faded. Tried to give it that old-school, slightly-run-down vibe. It’s tough to get it perfect, but I think I got close enough.

Finally, I did some lighting. This is crucial, ’cause lighting can make or break a scene. I wanted to capture that late afternoon sun, you know, when the shadows start to get long. Messed around with the settings until it looked somewhat decent.

Was it perfect? Nah, probably not. But it was a fun little project, and I learned a ton about Braves Field and the process of 3D modeling. Maybe I’ll try another stadium sometime. Who knows?
