Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get into watching more live football, and I figured, why not start with a local match? I decided to check out a game between Bristol Rovers and Reading.

Getting Ready
First things first, I gotta find out when the game is. I looked up the fixture list online. It’s always a bit of a pain to navigate those sports websites, but I finally found the date and time. Game on!
Heading to the Match
The day of the match arrived, I hopped on the bus cause I was too lazy to drive. I got there nice and early, soaked up the atmosphere around the stadium. You could feel the buzz, you know? Fans chatting, grabbing a bite to eat from the food stalls – the whole pre-match ritual.
Inside the Stadium
I found my seat, which was surprisingly decent! not front row, but hey, not bad. I am so excited, it’s my first time watching a game live! The teams came out, the crowd roared. It was time for some footbal!.
The Game Itself
I’m not gonna lie, I’m not the most knowledgeable football fan, but I still try my best to record something, so I opened up my phone memo, and try to write it down.
- Kick-off: The game starts, end-to-end action pretty much from the get-go.
- First Half: Both teams had some good chances. Lots of “oohs” and “aahs” from the crowd.
- Half-Time: Time for a quick toilet break and maybe grab a drink. The lines were massive, though!
- Second Half: More of the same! Still pretty exciting, though I’m getting tired.
Post-Match
The final whistle blew. And the crowd start to leave, I followed other people and walk to the exist slowly, So many people! Finally get out from the stadium, I took some picture of the match day, it’s very unforgetable. I think I will keep doing this, maybe next time I should find someone who understands football better than me to go with!
