Alright, so, I’ve been wanting to see Bruce Springsteen live for, like, ever. And when I heard he was coming to Philadelphia, I knew I had to get those tickets. Let me tell you, it was a journey.
First, I found out the on-sale date was July 26th at 10 AM, online only. I set my alarm, got my computer ready, and waited. When the clock hit 10, I started refreshing the page like crazy. It was a madhouse! Everyone was trying to get tickets at the same time.
I kept clicking and clicking, but the website was so slow. I thought I was going to have a heart attack. After what felt like forever, I finally got through to the ticket selection page. The prices were a bit steep, but hey, it’s Bruce Springsteen! I heard they ranged from around $148 to over $300, but the average was about $276. I wasn’t surprised, though. He did shows in the UK and I heard tickets were expensive there too.
- Searched for the event on the Citizens Bank Park website.
- Found some tickets on a secondary market, but they were still pricey.
- Decided to go for it and buy directly from the official site.
I ended up getting two tickets for the August 23rd show. I also saw that Bruce and The E Street Band added two more shows in Philly, August 16th and another one later. That’s cool for people who missed the first sale, I guess.
Show Day Prep
Now, about the show itself. I heard he usually starts right around 7:30 PM, and there’s no opening act. So, it’s all Bruce, all night long, which is awesome. I’m guessing he’ll play a different setlist each night since I read somewhere that people who have GA tickets and line up early can get into the pit.
Honestly, getting these tickets was a bit of a hassle, but I know it’ll be worth it. I’m so excited to finally see The Boss live in concert! I just hope I have enough money for some drinks once I get inside! And maybe I’ll meet some other fans, too.

This is gonna be epic! I can’t wait!
