Well, let me tell you, I heard folks talkin’ ’bout this here Lethal Company game. Sounds like a hoot, runnin’ around, avoidin’ them creepy crawlies. Now, my old eyes ain’t what they used to be, but I hear tell it’s a popular thing with the young’uns. But can you play it on a Mac? That’s the big question, ain’t it?

So, this Lethal Company, they say it ain’t made for them fancy Mac computers. Some fella named Zeekerss made it, and he didn’t make it for the Macs. That’s a real shame, I reckon. Lots of folks got them Macs, especially the young’uns with their schoolwork and whatnot. They like their games, too, you know.
But don’t you fret none. I heard there’s ways around it, like always. Smart folks figured out how to make it work. If you got one of them Intel Macs, there’s somethin’ called Crossover, Parallels, and Bootcamp. They’re like magic, I guess. They make that game think it’s on a regular computer, not one of them fancy Macs.
And get this, Apple, them what makes the Macs, they got somethin’ called a Game Porting Toolkit. Sounds complicated, but it means them Windows games, the ones not made for Macs, they can run on a Mac now. Not all of ’em, but a good chunk. Means you might be able to play Lethal Company on Mac after all, even if it ain’t supposed to be there.
Now, I ain’t no computer whiz. My grandson, he’s the one who knows all this stuff. He’s always on that computer of his, clickin’ and clackin’ away. He says there are these things called cloud gaming services, too. Like rentin’ a computer far away to play your game.
- Boosteroid
- Shadow
- airgpu
He said these can let you play Lethal Company. I don’t rightly understand it, but if it works, it works, right?

But there’s a problem, it seems. That GeForce thing, that don’t work for Lethal Company on Mac. But the other ones I mentioned, they do, or so I hear. It’s like pickin’ the right apples from the tree, gotta know which ones are good.
If you just want regular Mac games, you can go to that Mac App Store. Lots of games there, I reckon. And if you got one of them new Macs with the Apple silicon, some phone and tablet games work on it, too. That’s somethin’, ain’t it? Technology these days, it’s a wonder.
They even got that Left 4 Dead game on the Mac now. ‘Nother one of them shootin’ games the young’uns like. Comes with all the extra stuff, too. Seems like a good deal if you’re into that sort of thing.
Now, why can’t they just make these games for Macs in the first place? Well, I heard it’s ’cause of somethin’ called Metal. That’s what Macs use for their pictures and such. Other computers use somethin’ called DirectX. It’s like speakin’ different languages, I reckon. Hard to understand each other.
So, to put it simply, playin’ Lethal Company on Mac, it ain’t as easy as pie. But it ain’t impossible neither. You just gotta know the tricks, like usin’ them special programs or them cloud gaming things. It’s a bit of a fuss, but where there’s a will, there’s a way, as they say.

But it is a bit of work, and if you ask me, the folks makin’ these games should just make ’em for Macs in the first place! Save everyone a whole heap of trouble. But what do I know? I’m just an old lady, watchin’ the world go by. Now, if you want to play Lethal Company on Mac, you got some options. Just gotta do a little diggin’ and you’ll find your way, probably. Good luck, and don’t let them creepy crawlies get ya!
