My Weird Candy Hunt Adventure
So yeah, this might sound random, but earlier I just suddenly HAD to find candy that starts with the letter “N”. Don’t ask me why, my brain just fixated on it. “Candy That Begins With N Near Me?” became the mission. Needed to know where I could grab some, like, right now.
First thing? Grabbed my phone like everyone does. Typed that exact crazy phrase into the search bar. Hoping for a magic list of stores nearby just overflowing with “N” candy.
Turns out… not so simple. The results were kinda useless. Generic candy store listings for miles around, stuff about “healthy nuts” (no thanks!), and pages telling me the history of the letter N. Seriously? My stomach was growling for Nerds or something, not a history lesson.
Alright, plan B. Time to hit the pavement. Pulled up Maps manually. Searched just “candy store” and zoomed in super close on my neighborhood. Saw a couple contenders:
- The big grocery store a few blocks down (usually reliable).
- That old-school corner shop near the park (their stuff can be weirdly outdated, but hey, maybe they have treasures?).
- The giant chain pharmacy downtown (figured they’d have candy near the checkout).
Jumped in the car, feeling optimistic. First stop: the big grocery store. Parked, went straight for the candy aisle. Scanned the shelves fast. M&Ms, Skittles, Hershey’s… lots of S’s and M’s. Then… Nerds! YES! Grabbed the little red box triumphantly. “N” for Nerds. Mission accomplished? Well… the craving had expanded. Wanted more types of “N” candy. Nerds felt like the bare minimum now.
Checked the shelf again. Nothing else jumped out. Reeses? No. Snickers? Starts with S, obviously. Left feeling like half a win.
Next up, the old corner shop. Tiny place. Shelves packed tight. Wandered to their tiny candy section. Found some dusty Necco Wafers! Huh. Forgot those existed. Starts with N… technically counts? Tossed them in the basket with the Nerds. Not exactly thrilling, but the collection was growing. Scoured the rest – mostly cheap gum and off-brand chocolate. Got back to the car feeling a bit silly holding Nerds and dusty Necco.
Last stop: the chain pharmacy. Figured maybe niche stuff here? Made a beeline past the medicine to the candy racks. Lots of gummy bears, licorice… scanned brand names. Nothing obvious. Started feeling kinda dumb. Here I am, a grown adult, scouring pharmacies for candy beginning with N. Nearly gave up. Then, way down on a bottom shelf… Nips! You know, those coffee candies? Little roll of chocolate ones. Starts with N! Threw them in the basket too. Why not? It was turning into a weird scavenger hunt.
Got home, dumped the haul on the kitchen counter: Nerds, dusty Necco Wafers, Nips. Laughed at myself. Spent over an hour hunting for basically: Nerds (common), Necco (who eats these?), and Nips (a coffee candy?). Tried the Necco first – tasted like sweet chalk, just like I remembered. Nerds were satisfyingly crunchy. Nips were… coffee chocolate, not bad actually.
End result? Confirmed you can find “N” candy pretty easily if Nerds is your target. Anything else? Good luck. The corner shop had the Necco because nobody else buys them! That pharmacy trip felt pretty pointless except for adding those Nips. Maybe those big warehouse clubs have something more exotic? But honestly, I learned most “N” candy options are kinda niche or just plain odd. Felt like the internet should be better at this simple task. My advice? Crave Nerds specifically, or broaden your search letters! This whole N-thing was harder than my geography homework.
