Okay, so I’ve been obsessed with Chainsaw Man lately, and I just had to do something creative with it. The whole “Devil’s Heart” concept is so cool, so I decided to try and make one myself. Not a real one, obviously, but a prop, you know?

First, I gathered my materials. I needed something for the main heart shape. I ended up using some air-dry clay I had leftover from another project. It’s pretty easy to work with, and it doesn’t require any baking.
- Air-dry clay
- Red and black acrylic paint
- Some old wires (for the, uh, “arteries” and stuff)
- Gloss varnish
- A small, sharp knife (for sculpting details)
- Paintbrushes (various sizes)
The Messy Part
Next, I started shaping the clay. I basically just rolled it into a ball, then squished and molded it until it looked kinda heart-ish. It didn’t have to be perfect, because, you know, it’s a devil’s heart. It’s supposed to be messed up!
While the clay was still wet, I poked some holes in it to stick the wires in later. I also used the knife to carve in some lines and grooves to make it look more…organic. I won’t lie, this part was kind of gross, but also really fun.
Paint and Gore
Then, I painted the whole thing.
Once the clay was completely dry (which took, like, a whole day), it was time for the fun part: painting! I started with a base coat of dark red. I wanted it to look really bloody and gross. After the base coat dried, I went in with some black paint to add shadows and depth. I used a dry-brushing technique to make it look all veiny and nasty. It really made difference!

After the paint was dry, I stuck the wires into the holes I’d made earlier. I bent and twisted them to make them look like arteries and veins and all that good stuff. I even added a little bit of red paint to the wires to make them look extra bloody.
Finishing Touches
Finally, to make it look all shiny and wet (because, ew), I applied a few coats of gloss varnish. This also helped to protect the paint and keep everything in place.
And that’s it! My very own Chainsaw Man Devil’s Heart. It’s not perfect, but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. It’s definitely a conversation starter, and it looks pretty awesome sitting on my shelf. Might try making some other devil parts next…who knows!
