So, I decided to check out this golf course in Michigan called Cheshire Hills. I’d heard some good things about it, and being a big fan of golf, I just had to see it for myself. Plus, Michigan’s got tons of golf courses, like over 850, and I’ve always wanted to explore more of them.

Getting there was a breeze. Cheshire Hills is tucked away in Allegan County, which is a really pretty and peaceful area. Driving through the countryside was relaxing, and it definitely got me in the mood for a good round of golf.
Booking a Tee Time
- First thing I did was book a tee time online. Their website was easy to navigate. I just picked a date and time that worked for me.
- I made sure to read their policies though. Some places want you there like 20 or 30 minutes early, which is cool, but I just wanted to be prepared.
- Cheshire Hills is pretty chill. They have three different 9-hole courses, which is awesome because you can mix and match to make your own 18-hole experience. I thought that was a pretty unique setup.
Playing the Course
I decided to play two of the 9-hole courses to get a full 18. The courses were in great shape! Lush fairways, smooth greens, and just a really nice atmosphere. It was clear they take good care of the place. Being surrounded by all those hardwood trees that Michigan is famous for made the whole experience even better. It was like golfing in the middle of a beautiful forest. I even saw some deers around.
After the Game
After I finished my round, I stopped by the clubhouse. They had a nice little pro shop and a place to grab a bite to eat. I grabbed a drink, chatted with some other golfers, and just soaked in the friendly vibe. It was the perfect way to cap off a great day of golf. I even met some other golfers there.
All in all, I had a blast at Cheshire Hills. It’s definitely a spot I’d recommend to anyone looking for a fun and unique golfing experience in Michigan. And hey, with so many courses around, I might just have to make another trip soon to explore some more! I hope that my sharings help you to decide to go there.
