I remember this year, with Christmas just around the corner, I got super pumped about the idea of watching some football. I looked up the schedule and saw that the NFL had a couple of games lined up for Christmas Day. Perfect!

First up, I found out the Kansas City Chiefs were playing against the Pittsburgh Steelers. That sounded like a great game to start the day with. Then I saw that the Baltimore Ravens were going up against the Houston Texans. I made a note to catch that one later in the afternoon.
So, I planned my day around these games. I started with the Chiefs vs. Steelers game, which kicked off in the early afternoon. I made some snacks, got comfortable on the couch, and tuned in. I watched every play, cheering and shouting at the TV like a crazy person.
Watching Games
- Chiefs vs. Steelers: Started early afternoon.
- Ravens vs. Texans: Played in the late afternoon.
After the first game wrapped up, I took a little break, grabbed some more food, and got ready for the second game. The Ravens vs. Texans game was just as exciting, and I spent the rest of the afternoon glued to the screen. I even texted some buddies to see who they were rooting for.
And get this – I learned that these games were going to be streamed on Netflix. That’s a first for the NFL! It was cool to have another way to watch, especially since I’m always looking for new streaming options. I read somewhere that Netflix paid a hefty sum for these games, something like $150 million a year. They’ve even got the rights for the next couple of years, too. I ended up watching the games on my local CBS channel since it was available, but it’s good to know Netflix is an option for the future.
By the end of the day, I was exhausted but in a good way. I had a blast watching football, yelling at the TV, and just enjoying the holiday. It felt like a perfect Christmas Day, filled with sports, snacks, and a bit of excitement. Definitely doing this again next year!
