Alright, so today I got curious about this Cody Haddon fella after seeing his name pop up everywhere. Dude’s been fighting in the MMA scene, and people keep talking about his highlights. Figured I’d dive in, see what all the fuss is about, and maybe catch some cool knockouts or slick moves.
First thing first, I needed to find his actual fights. Easier said than done, right? I jumped on my laptop, opened up a search thingie, and typed in “Cody Haddon MMA fights”. Man, the results were a mess. Got a bunch of articles talking about his fights, press releases, some forum chatter where dudes argued if he’s overhyped or not. Where’s the actual footage?
The Deep Dive
I figured official fight orgs usually post stuff on their channels. Remembered hearing he fought for some promotion called EFC? Maybe. Scrolled through a bunch of different MMA organization names, trying to recall where he’d been. Took a few wrong turns – clicked on pages with fighters who had similar names, total waste of ten minutes. Annoying.
Finally landed on a likely channel. Bingo! Started scrolling through their videos. They’ve got tons of fights uploaded. Now I had to figure out which specific Cody Haddon bouts were considered his “top moments”. Couldn’t watch everything, it’s late already. Looked for titles mentioning him, especially ones saying “finish” or “highlight” or had a lot of views. Picked out what seemed like a recent one that got people buzzing and maybe an earlier fight folks said showed his potential.
Alright, time to actually watch. Made sure I had snacks. Cracked open a soda. Started clicking.
- Fight #1: Boom! Right away, dude comes out aggressive. Like, scary aggressive. Pushing the pace hard. Throws these fast punches, one-two combinations snapping the other guy’s head back. Looks strong for his weight class. Then, maybe Round 2, he sees an opening, just plasters the poor guy with this heavy left hook. Down goes the opponent! Ref jumps in. Total highlight reel knockout. I rewound that bit like three times. Brutal.
- Fight #2: This one felt different. Opponent was tricky, trying to keep distance, throw kicks. Haddon seemed patient at first, feeling him out. But then, dude gets taken down! Uh oh, I thought. But nope. Guard looked pretty decent, wasn’t getting smashed. Worked hard for an underhook, managed to scramble back up to his feet – that took real effort. Then later, found this slick moment where he ducked a wild swing and countered with a perfect knee right to the gut. Folded the other guy. Crowd went nuts.
Putting the Pieces Together
After watching, I kinda got why people dig him. He’s not super flashy with spinning kicks or anything wild (at least in the fights I saw), but damn, his hands are heavy. Puts power behind every punch. Shows guts when things get tough, like scrambling back up after that takedown. And he seems to find those fight-ending moments, either with the big hook or that counter knee. Explosive.

Felt I got a pretty good feel for his style from just grabbing a couple of key fights. Still gotta look up his record properly later to see who he’s beaten. Overall, fun little dive. Some legit exciting finishes and gritty moments. Makes me wanna check out his next scrap.
