Okay, so the other day I was trying to figure out how far I’d be driving for a road trip. The directions said it was 180 miles, but I think in kilometers ’cause, you know, it makes more sense in my head. So I needed to convert 180 miles to kilometers.
First, I grabbed my phone. You can straight-up ask a voice assistant, but I like to do things a bit more hands-on sometimes.
I opened up the calculator app .
I remembered that one mile is roughly 1.6 kilometers. It’s actually 1.609344, to be exact, but for a quick estimate, 1.6 is good enough.
- I typed in 180 (the number of miles).
- Then I hit the multiply button (the little ‘x’ thingy).
- Then I entered 1.609344.
- Finally, I pressed equals (=).
The Result
The calculator popped up with 289.68192. So, 180 miles is about 290 *’s all.
