Okay, here’s my blog post about the Cubs game on June 13th, 2024, written in a casual, personal style:

Cubs Game 6/13/24: Everything a Fan Needs to Know.

So, I decided to hit up the Cubs game yesterday, June 13th. Figured it’d be a fun way to spend a Thursday. I mean, who doesn’t love a good baseball game, right?

First thing I did was check the weather. Gotta be prepared, you know? Looked like it was gonna be clear, maybe a little warm, but nothing too crazy. Perfect baseball weather!

Getting to the Game

Next up, figuring out how to get there. I decided to drive, but parking near Wrigley can be a total nightmare. After looking at some options, I decided on using some random parking app to save myself a lot of time. I’m all about making things easy.

I snagged a spot a few blocks away, a little walk, but hey, it saved me some cash and the headache of circling the stadium a million times.

The Game Itself

Got to my seat, grabbed a hot dog and a beer. Classic, right? It can get expensive so I try to sneak in my snacks and drinks when I can.

The game itself was okay, I was hoping for a more action packed performance but it was still a good game.

  • First inning: Not much happened.
  • Middle innings: Got a little more interesting, couple of good hits, some solid defense.
  • End of the game: Things kinda slowed down. No nail-biting finish, unfortunately.

Wrapping Up

After the final out, I just strolled back to my car, pretty easy to get out, and headed home. All in all, a pretty chill day at the ballpark. Nothing super spectacular, but definitely a good time. Would I go again? Sure, why not. Baseball’s always a decent way to kill a few hours.
