Alright, guys, so I’ve been diving deep into Fortnite again lately, and I got to thinking about those super rare skins. You know, the ones you hardly ever see anyone rocking anymore? So, I decided to do some digging and figure out what the actual “current rarest Fortnite skins” are. And let me tell you, it was a bit of a rabbit hole!

My Quest for Rarity
First, I jumped onto the game myself. I spent a good few hours just playing, paying close attention to what other players were wearing. I figured, “Hey, the best way to see what’s rare is to, well, not see it, right?” I jotted down any skins I couldn’t immediately recall or that I hadn’t seen in ages.
Then, I hit the forums. I scrolled through tons of threads, read comments, and basically immersed myself in the community’s opinions. It’s always good to get a feel for what other players think, you know? There were some common names popping up, which was a good sign.
Next, I checked out some of those “rarest skins” articles and videos. Now, I took these with a grain of salt, because a lot of them are just clickbait. But, they did help me narrow down my list and get a better sense of the release dates and availability of certain skins.
Compiling the List
After all that, I started putting together my own list. Here’s the process I followed.
- Considered Item Shop skins that haven’t been back in forever. Like, we’re talking years, not months.
- Looked at Battle Pass skins from the really early seasons. If you weren’t playing back then, you just can’t get them now.
- Factored any special event skins.
I had used the above methedology to find out the rarest skins.

It’s not perfect, and “rarest” can be subjective, but it’s based on my own experience and research.
