Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this whole “Deku’s new haircut” thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey.
First off, I started by digging into what people were saying online. Lots of buzz about this new look for Deku in My Hero Academia, especially after Chapter 424. Seems like everyone has an opinion, right? Some folks are loving it, others are comparing it to some, uh, less successful anime hairstyles. I even stumbled across a TikTok where this guy, Elijah.M, was talking about it.
So, I got curious. I started sketching, trying to figure out what this “wolf-inspired” cut was all about. I grabbed a bunch of screenshots from the anime and manga, and started experimenting with different styles.
- I tried a shorter, spikier look.
- Then I went for something a bit longer, more layered.
- I even played around with adding some highlights, just to see how it would look.
It was a lot of trial and error, let me tell you. I filled up pages and pages of my sketchbook with different versions.
My Result
Finally, I landed on a style that I think captures the essence of this new Deku vibe. It’s a bit messy, a bit edgy, but still recognizable as our favorite hero-in-training. It reflects that he’s grown, he’s been through some stuff, and he’s not the same kid he used to be. His whole journey has been tough, and this new haircut shows that he is growing and becoming stronger. But, as a lot of fans said, a journey towards a better future has just begun, and Deku is no longer a kid.
I think this new style looks nice, and I hope you also think so.
