Okay, so today I wanna talk about something in Destiny 2 called “Paracausal Geometries.” I started by finishing up these “lost in the dark” quests from some dude named Micah. Turns out, you gotta do a bunch of them, like 11, to unlock all these Paracausal Geometry things. They’re basically these events that pop up after you do those quests.

First time I stumbled upon one, I was just following the quest marker, and there it was – a little shiny ball in the middle of a circle on the ground. I walked up to it, and it gave me an option to like, “commune” with it. Sounded weird, but I did it anyway. Boom, I got this buff called “Aura of Balance.”
Here’s what I did next:
- Kept following the quest markers – they led me to different locations where these Paracausal Geometry events were happening.
- Communed with the orbs – every time I found one of these glowing orbs, I interacted with it to get that Aura of Balance buff.
- Finished the events – each event was a bit different, but they all involved that buff somehow. I just followed along with what the game was telling me to do.
After I did all 11 of these Paranormal Activity events, I got some cool rewards. Each event gave me a couple of Pale Heart Engrams, 3000 Glimmer, and 400 EXP. Not bad, right? But the best part was when I finished all 11. I unlocked this awesome new Exotic Ship called “The First Knife.” Plus, there was a triumph for doing all the Paracausal Geometries. Felt pretty good to check that off.
What are these things anyway?
So, what are these Paracausal Geometries? From what I can gather, they’re like these spots where Light and Dark energies mix together. It’s like, where two different forces meet up and create something new. I guess that’s why they’re called “Paracausal” – they don’t follow the normal rules of cause and effect.
It was a bit of a grind to do all those “lost in the dark” quests, but honestly, getting that Exotic Ship and the triumph made it worth it. Plus, exploring those Paracausal Geometry spots was kind of interesting. They’re definitely a unique part of Destiny 2. If you’re playing the game, I’d say give these events a shot. They’re a fun little challenge, and the rewards are pretty sweet.
