Today was “Reds Senior Days” at the ballpark, and let me tell you, it was an experience. I’ve always wanted to see what it was like, figured I’d give it a shot. So, I grabbed my old Reds cap and headed out early.

First thing I did was check the schedule online. Wanted to make sure I got there in time for all the senior-friendly activities. The game started at 1:10 PM, good for me, No need to run!
Getting There and Getting In
Drove down to the stadium, parking was a breeze, thank goodness. Plenty of spots open, maybe because it was a weekday game. Walked up to the gate, showed my ID – got to love those senior discounts! – and strolled right in. The ushers were super helpful, pointing me in the right direction.
The Senior Scene
- Lots of folks my age, all decked out in Reds gear.
- The atmosphere was relaxed, definitely not as rowdy as some of the weekend games I’ve been to.
- They had some special booths set up with information on senior health and wellness. Picked up a few brochures, you never know.
I found a great seat along the first base line. Perfect view of the action. Grabbed a hot dog and a soda. Settled in to watch the game.
The game itself was pretty good, The final thing is Reds are the winners! It was a fun day out, a nice change of pace. Thinking I might make this a regular thing.
