Okay, so I finally got around to playing Nags Head Golf Links in North Carolina. I’d heard about it for a while, and, you know, always wanted to check it out. Here’s how it all went down.

First, I booked a tee time. I did it online, which was pretty easy. I picked a weekday morning, figuring it would be less crowded. I also checked the weather forecast, of course – gotta make sure I wasn’t going to get rained out. It looked good, mostly sunny.
Getting Ready
Before the trip, I made sure all my gear was in order. I cleaned my clubs – they were looking a bit rough after my last round. I also stocked up on golf balls. I have a habit of losing a few (or a lot) in the water and woods, so I wanted to be prepared. I packed my golf bag, tossed in some sunscreen, a hat, and my lucky golf glove.

The Drive and Arrival
The drive to Nags Head was nice. I took the scenic route, and it was a pretty relaxing start to the day. Once I got there, I checked in at the pro shop. The staff was friendly, and I grabbed a scorecard and a pencil. I also asked about any local rules or course conditions I should be aware of.
Playing the Course
The course itself was beautiful. It’s right on the coast, so you get these amazing views of the water.
I started to play, the wind was a real factor that day – it definitely made some shots more challenging than I expected! I tried to adjust my shots accordingly, but let’s just say I still ended up in a few bunkers. I really focused on my short game.

I used my rangefinder to get the distances right, which helped a lot. I also paid attention to the course layout, trying to avoid any major trouble spots.I finished my 18 holes.
I walked some of the course and took a cart for other parts. It’s a pretty walkable course overall, but the cart was helpful for getting around a bit faster, especially in the heat.
Post-Round
After the round, I stopped by the clubhouse.
Finally, I packed up my gear, and drove back.

All in all, it was a great day of golf. It’s a course I’d definitely recommend checking out if you’re ever in the Outer Banks area.
