Yo, what’s up everyone! Today, I wanna talk about what happened during the F1 qualifying in Brazil. It was a total mess, let me tell you. I was glued to the screen, super hyped to see who would grab the pole position, but then, bam, the weather decided to throw a wrench into everything.
So, picture this: it was Saturday, and the qualifying session was all set to go down. But guess what? The heavens opened up, and it started pouring like crazy. It was a complete washout. I was like, “Are you kidding me?” They had to reschedule the whole thing to Sunday morning. The new time was 7:30 AM local time, which was 10:30 AM for those in the UK and 5:30 AM on the East Coast here in the States.
I tuned in on ESPN2 because that’s where they air the race, and you can also stream it on ESPN+. I heard the FIA (those are the big bosses of F1) put out a statement right after they postponed it. They were basically saying, “Look, we can’t see jack out there because of all this rain, and there’s a ton of standing water on the track. It’s just not safe, folks.”
They had scheduled the qualifying to last for 60 minutes, split into three parts. But the rain was so bad that it turned into a marathon session. I heard it ended up giving us a really mixed-up grid for the race on Sunday. Talk about a plot twist, huh?
Here’s how I went through it all:
- First, I woke up super early on Saturday, all excited for the qualifying.
- Grabbed my coffee, settled on the couch, and turned on the TV.

- Woke up again on Sunday, hoping for better weather.
- Watched the whole session, which was pretty wild because of the conditions.
- Saw the mixed-up grid and started getting even more hyped for the race.
