Okay, so today I wanted to dig into Frank Mason III’s college stats. I’ve always been a fan, and with all the talk about his pro career, I figured it’d be cool to look back at where it all started – his time at Kansas.
First, I needed to find a good source for his stats. You know, not just some random blog, but something reliable. I tried several sports statistics sites,finally,I choose one of them.
Once I landed on the right page, I was face to face with the data. It was all neatly laid out in a table, year by year.
Breaking Down the Numbers
What I really wanted to see was his progression. You know, how did he improve over his four years? So, I started with his freshman year, meticulously noting down:
- Games Played: How many games did he actually get into?
- Points Per Game: The basic scoring average.
- Assists Per Game: How well did he set up his teammates?
- Rebounds Per Game: Even for a guard, rebounding matters!
- Field Goal Percentage: How efficiently did he shoot?
- Three-Point Percentage: Was he a threat from beyond the arc?
- Free Throw Percentage: How well he made his free points.
I did that for each of his four seasons, writing it all *’s help me get a clear picture of his performance and improvement.
The cool part was seeing the jump in his numbers, especially between his junior and senior years. It’s like, you could see him becoming the player he is today, just in the numbers.
From a start, his stats were:
- 5.5 PPG
- 2.1 APG
- 1.3 RPG
And when he was a senior, his stats jumped to:
- 20.9 PPG
- 5.2 APG
- 4.3 RPG
It is incredible to see how huge his improvement is!
I wanted to see his total points, assists, and rebounds, and those totals, wow, they really tell the story of a four-year college career.
