So, I started digging into this whole Frankel thing because I heard some folks talking about him like he was some kind of legend. I was like, “A horse? What’s the big deal?” But boy, was I in for a surprise.
First thing I did was to look up this Frankel guy. Turns out, he was a British racehorse, born back in 2008. This horse was trained by a guy named Sir Henry Cecil and had this jockey, Tom Queally, who rode him in every single race. Teamwork, I guess.
Then I got into his racing career. Get this – the horse raced 14 times and won every single time! I mean, who does that? It’s like playing a video game and never losing, not even once. They started calling him the best in the world back in 2011, and it seemed like no one could touch him.
I watched some of his races online, and it was pretty wild. He just blew past the other horses like they were standing still. People were going nuts in the stands, and the commentators could barely keep up. No wonder they call him a champion.
After he retired from racing, I found out Frankel became a stud, you know, making baby horses. And apparently, he’s the hottest thing in Europe for that, too. Everyone wants a piece of Frankel, it seems. I read that he’s at this place called Banstead Manor Stud, and it’s owned by some Saudi Arabian folks. They say getting Frankel there was like a “toss-of-the-coin” kind of deal.

Then I stumbled upon this quote from some guy named Carson, who said Frankel never ran in the Derby or the Arc because they weren’t sure he could handle those races. Made sense to me – why run if you’re not sure you can win, right? But he still beat everyone they put him up against, which is pretty impressive.
Now, here’s the kicker. Frankel’s getting this crazy stud fee for 2024 – �350,000! I had to look up how much that was, and it’s a whole lot of money. He’s sired like 11 big-time winners this year alone. At 15 years old, this horse is still making waves.
I also found out that people are starting to breed his kids and grandkids, and they’re doing pretty well, too. So, it looks like Frankel’s name is gonna be around for a long time. They call it his legacy, and from what I can tell, it’s a big deal in the horse racing world.
My Conclusion
So, yeah, that’s my little adventure into the world of Frankel. I went from knowing nothing about horse racing to being pretty amazed by this one horse’s story. It’s like something out of a movie – an undefeated champion who becomes a legend. I guess it just goes to show, you never know what you’ll find when you start digging into things.
