Okay, so I’ve been wanting a Carmelo Anthony Hawks jersey for a while. It’s kind of a joke/collector’s item, you know? He was technically on the Hawks for like, five days, but never actually played a game. Here’s how I went about finding one:
First, I started with the usual spots.
- Checked the official NBA store. Nope, nothing there, which made sense.
- Tried some big retailers, you know the usual sportwear websites? No luck.
Then, I dug a little deeper.
- Went to some auction websites. I saw a few listings, some were autographed (which was cool, but expensive!), and some were just regular jerseys.
- Searched on some Forums. I found some other people were looking for them too! It’s kind of a niche thing, so it was good to see I wasn’t alone.
Customization Time!
Finally, I figured, if I can’t buy one, I’ll make one! I found a site that lets you customize jerseys.
Here’s what I did:
- I picked a blank Hawks jersey, the red one.
- I added “ANTHONY” on the back.
- Then I typed number 7, his usual number.
- I double-checked everything and added in my size.
- I placed the order!
It took a couple of weeks, but it finally arrived! It looks great, and it’s definitely a conversation starter. My friends all got a good laugh when they saw it. Mission accomplished!
