So, I’ve been grinding away in Final Fantasy XIV, and let me tell you, getting the Wings of Resolve mount is quite the journey. It’s not just handed to you; you gotta work for it!
First off, I had to make sure I was caught up with the main story quests, all the way through the 7.0 stuff. Once that was done, I tracked down this “wandering minstrel” guy in Tuliyollal. I talked to him after finishing the 7.0 MSQ to start the quest for the mount.
Farming Hunts
Then came the real grind – hunts. I spent hours, days even, hunting down those A and S rank marks in the Endwalker zones. It wasn’t easy, and sometimes it felt like I was never going to get there. It’s a grind, but each mark down felt like a small victory. It’s all about those hunts. You need to kill 2000 A Marks and 1000 S Marks. Yeah, you heard that right. It’s a lot. I teamed up with friends, joined hunt trains, anything to make the process a bit faster and less lonely. The community’s great for this, though, lots of folks are in the same boat. There’re some hunts out there that can drop it. I started doing those every day.
The Real Deal
But the Wings of Resolve? That’s a whole other story. You need to do this Everkeep Trial, but in Extreme mode. I found a party and we spent some time to practice our strategy to do the trial. We’re trying hard to win it. I’m not gonna lie; it’s tough. We wiped a bunch of times, but each time we learned something new. We studied those mechanics, figured out the best strategies, and slowly but surely, we got better.
- Keep at it: Seriously, don’t give up. It took me countless tries.
- Find a good team: Or at least some folks who are also after the mount. It’s way more fun (and less painful) to grind with friends.
- Learn the fight: For Everkeep (Extreme), watch videos, read guides, whatever you gotta do. Knowing the mechanics is half the battle.
And then, one day, after another round in the Everkeep, there it was. The drop. My heart was racing, I rolled, and bam, the Wings of Resolve were mine. It’s this awesome-looking set of black wings with a blue aura, and a cool black tail. It felt amazing, finally getting them after all that effort. But let me tell you, seeing those wings on my back, it was all worth it. They look so cool, and it’s a great feeling knowing I earned them.
It’s a tough one, but totally worth it if you’re into collecting mounts. Just be prepared for a long and bumpy ride. So, if you see someone flying around with those Wings of Resolve, give ’em a nod. They earned it.
