Alright, so I really dig that song “One Call Away” by Henry Gallagher. Got stuck in my head, you know? Figured I’d download it properly to have offline.
I started simple. Went straight to YouTube, found the official music video. Nice tune. Looked for a download button. Didn’t find one. Not surprised, YouTube usually hides that stuff unless you pay.
Then I got trickier. Grabbed my phone, opened the Play Store. Typed in “Henry Gallagher One Call Away download.” A bunch of apps popped up promising free mp3s. Sounded too good to be true. Downloaded one called “Free Music Downloader.” Big mistake.
Opened the app. Ads everywhere. Like, seriously popping up every 2 seconds. Annoying! Entered the song name in its search bar. A list showed up with the track. Hit ‘download’. Guess what? Another ad popped up first. Closed it. Tried again. ‘Download’ button? Another ad. Tried maybe five times. Frustrating! Seemed like a dead end. Uninstalled that junk immediately.
Went back to basics. Decided to actually pay for it properly. Safer that way. Got onto my usual music apps:
- Spotify: Easy find. Added to my playlist. No download button in the free version though. Gotta pay for that.
- Apple Music: Same deal. Found it quickly. Free trial available, download needs subscription.
- Amazon Music: Also had it. Free trial there too if you need one. Downloading requires becoming a member.
Looked up his record label quickly. Slogan Records. Thought maybe they sell tracks directly? Couldn’t find a direct shop on their site. Bit disappointing. Mostly links back to the big platforms above for buying or streaming.
Man, this took longer than expected. What did I learn?
Forget those shady downloader apps – total ad traps.
The real deal is the official platforms: Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music. Simple. You want the track offline? Be prepared to subscribe. There you go. Wasted some time on garbage apps, learned my lesson.
