Alright folks, let me tell you about my recent experience at Horse Creek Golf. I decided to give it a shot last weekend. Heard some buzz about it, so I figured, why not?

First off, booking the tee time was a breeze. Jumped online, found a slot that worked, and bam, I was set. No annoying phone calls or waiting on hold. Big plus right there.
Got to the course a little early to warm up. The driving range was decent. Nothing fancy, just a good place to smack some balls and get loose. They had plenty of mats and the balls were in okay shape. Not the best, but definitely not the worst I’ve seen.
Now, about the course itself. I’d say it was pretty good. I mean, the layout was interesting. Lots of different challenges, doglegs, water hazards, elevation changes – kept me on my toes, that’s for sure. Some holes were pretty forgiving, others demanded you bring your A-game. Specifically, I remember the par 3 on the back nine, hole 14 I think, playing over the water. That one got me good.
- The fairways were generally well-maintained. Not perfectly manicured, but definitely playable. No crazy divots or bare patches to worry about.
- The greens, on the other hand, were a little shaggy. They were a bit slow, and putting felt kinda inconsistent. Could’ve used a good mowing, if I’m being honest.
The pace of play was alright. We didn’t get held up too badly. There was a foursome ahead of us that was taking their sweet time, but thankfully they let us play through after a few holes. Saved the day, those guys.
The staff was super friendly. From the guys at the pro shop to the cart attendant, everyone had a smile on their face and was happy to help. That always makes a difference, right?
After the round, I grabbed a bite at the clubhouse. The food was decent – standard golf course fare. Had a burger and fries. Hit the spot. Prices weren’t too outrageous either.
All in all, I’d say Horse Creek Golf is worth checking out. It’s not the fanciest course I’ve ever played, but it’s a solid, enjoyable experience. The layout is fun, the staff is great, and the price is reasonable. I will be back for sure!
Oh, one more thing: remember to bring extra balls. You WILL lose some. Trust me on this one. I lost like, 5 or 6. Those water hazards are sneaky!
