Okay, so today I decided to check out a baseball game, the Houston Astros versus the Chicago Cubs. I’ve always been more of a casual baseball fan, but I figured, why not dive in and see what it’s all about?

First things first, I needed to figure out how to actually watch the game. I don’t have cable, so that was out. I did some quick searching online, and that is too difficult, so I decided to head to the offical website.
Then, boom! Get the game start time and date. It turns out it was a 7:10 PM CDT start. Perfect!
While I was waiting for the game to start, I decided to do a little research on both teams. I mean, I knew the Astros were good (they won the World Series not too long ago, right?), but I didn’t know much about their current players. Same with the Cubs – I knew they had a big history, but that was about it.
- I checked out the team rosters. Look, I’m not gonna lie, a lot of the names were new to me. But I did recognize a few, like Jose Altuve for the Astros and… well, I’m still learning the Cubs’ roster!
- I looked at some recent game highlights. This helped me get a feel for how both teams were playing lately. It seemed like the Astros were on a bit of a hot streak, while the Cubs were having some ups and downs.
Finally, game time! I fired up the website, and there it was, the live stream of the game. I gotta say, even though I’m not a die-hard baseball fan, it was pretty exciting to watch.
I watched the game, and it was a really good one. I sat in the chair, and shouted when the player get the score, and drank my coca-cola. It looks so cool!

I focused on learning a little bit more about the rules. I mean, I know the basics – strikes, balls, outs, innings – but there are so many little nuances that I’m still trying to grasp.
Overall, it was a really fun experience! Even though it might be a little too late. I might not become a baseball fanatic overnight, but I definitely have a new appreciation for the game. I’ll probably try to catch a few more games this season, and who knows, maybe I’ll even learn all the players’ names eventually!
