So, I wanted to try out this new game everyone’s been talking about, XDefiant. I went to download it and was a little curious about how much space it would take up on my devices.
First, I checked it out on my PC. I heard different things about the download size. Some folks said it was around 30.07 GB, and others mentioned it was closer to 35 GB. After I initiated the download, I noticed it started to grab about 30.04 GB. Later on, I found out that to actually install and play the game, you’d need around 35 GB. But later some guys on the internet said it is 65GB, what the hell?
Next, I moved on to my Xbox Series X. I was surprised to see the download size was a whopping 55 GB there! I mean, who would have thought it would be so much bigger on console?
Then, for kicks, I looked up the PlayStation 5 size. I saw a post online saying it was around 58.353 GB for the beta version. I guess it varies a bit between the different versions of the game, even on the same platform.
- PC: Initially around 30.04 GB, but needs about 35 GB to install. I’m a bit confused because someone says it actually needs 65GB.

Honestly, it’s kind of wild how much the size varies. I initially thought XDefiant would be smaller than other shooter games, but these numbers are all over the place. I’m starting to think twice about downloading it, especially on my console. It’s taking up way more space than I expected!
Oh, and before I tried downloading, I made sure my PC was up to snuff. I have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti and an Intel Core i7-4790K, so I figured I was good to go. It was a bit of a hassle figuring out the sizes, but now I know what I’m dealing with. I guess I’ll have to clear up some space if I really want to play this game.
Anyway, this is just what happened when I tried to download XDefiant. Maybe it’s different for others, but man, those sizes are something else!
