Okay, here’s my blog post about testing the top speed of my 2018 Ducati Supersport S:

How Fast Is the 2018 Ducati SuperSport S? (Unveiling the Official Top Speed)

Alright, so I’ve been itching to really see what my 2018 Ducati Supersport S can do. I mean, they say it’s fast, but I wanted to know how fast. So, I planned this whole thing out.

The Prep

First, I made sure the bike was in tip-top shape. I’m talking fresh oil, checked the tire pressure – made sure they were perfect. Checked the chain, brakes, everything. You don’t mess around when you’re pushing a machine to its limits, you know?

Then, I picked my spot. I needed a long, straight, flat stretch of road with basically no traffic. I found this deserted road early one Sunday morning – perfect conditions.

The Runs

I started with a few practice runs, just getting a feel for how the bike was handling. I wasn’t going full-out at first. I gradually increased my speed, run after run, paying close attention to the bike’s response, the wind, everything.

  • Run 1: Just a warm-up, getting a feel for things.
  • Run 2: Picked up the pace, still not full throttle.
  • Run 3: Okay, starting to push it a bit.
  • Run 4: This is where it got serious. I went for it. Full throttle, tucked in as much as I could.

That fourth run… man, that was something else. The acceleration on this thing is insane. The wind was roaring in my helmet, and the road was just a blur. I glanced down at the speedometer, heart pounding, and saw the number climb.  It felt scary and good, at the same exact time.

The Result

I managed to hit a top speed that I was pretty happy with. It proved to myself the true power and speed this thing has. I’m not gonna lie, it was exhilarating! But also, I realized how important it is to be safe and responsible when you’re doing something like this. It’s not something to take lightly. This has been one heck of an experience.

I backed off slowly, let the bike coast for a bit, and then gently applied the brakes. I was buzzing with adrenaline. I pulled over, took a deep breath, and just grinned. Mission accomplished.
